Johnson appointed to the Kansas WorkforceONE Board of Directors
Minneola Healthcare’s Director of Operations, Jalin Johnson, has been appointed to the Kansas WorkforceONE Board of Directors.
The Local Area I Workforce Development Board d.b.a. Kansas WorkforceONE serves the 62 counties of Central and Western Kansas. Its mission is to “Connect employers to a motivated workforce having the skills to obtain and maintain meaningful employment throughout its 62-county community.” Beyond its mission, the board’s purpose is to be the region’s expert and leader in workforce development, by identifying workforce issues and concerns and by bringing together the necessary assets to facilitate solutions that foster prosperity. Activities of the board include gathering and disseminating information about the area’s labor market and businesses’ employment needs; building a strong area-wide workforce development system; convening groups of businesses, schools, and other organizations to develop solutions to workforce development challenges; and overseeing the network of Workforce Development Centers.
Kansas WorkforceONE Executive Director, Deb Scheibler, says “The Healthcare Industry is critical to the sustainability and growth of our Local Area I communities. We are thrilled to have Jalin Johnson join our workforce board to help us ensure the workforce system in Central and Western Kansas is doing everything possible to support the industry.”
Jaron Caffrey, Director of Workforce Development at the Kansas Hospital Association, stated “Jalin has been a tremendous partner in delivering on various workforce priorities that the Kansas Hospital Association has tackled over the last few years and is someone who’s approach is to never be deterred by the obstacles, but instead sees the opportunity in every problem. He understands that workforce challenges must be addressed with a holistic strategy, and he has been a leader in his organization and across the state in advancing initiatives to positively address health care workforce issues. Jalin’s extensive knowledge will be valuable to the WorkforceONE Board, and we eagerly anticipate continuing our collaboration with him and the new perspective that he will bring.”
