Minneola District Hospital’s Imaging Department strives to create a high-quality patient experience while performing exams on all patient populations. It is our goal to produce images that will assist the physicians in the detection of foreign bodies and diagnosis of diseases and injuries. All exams will be done by a certified technologist, and we work hard to make our patients comfortable during the process.
| Cat Scan (CT) CT scans merge multiple X-rays taken from many different angles. Cross-sectional imaging is used by Radiologist as well as providers to help diagnose problems in bone, soft tissues and all other major organs of the body. This service is available at Minneola District Hospital on Monday-Friday 8am-5pm for outpatient services, and 24 hours/7 days a week for emergency services. |
Ultrasound/Sonogram This type of scan uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of soft tissues inside the body. Minneola Healthcare offers General, OB/GYN, Vascular Ultrasounds, as well as Echocardiograms of the heart. Ultrasound is currently available by appointment, and with a provider's order, twice a week at Minneola Hospital, and once a week at Family Care Clinic in Dodge City. |
X-Ray Medical x-rays use low-dose radiation to create an image and are used to generate two dimensional images of tissues and bones inside the body for diagnosis. Minneola Healthcare offers X-ray services, with a provider’s order, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm for outpatient services, and 24 hours/7 days a week for emergency services. Family Care Clinic, Dodge City, also offers X-ray services, with a provider’s order, Monday-Friday 8am-12pm and 1-5pm. No appointment is needed at either location. |
| Nuclear Medicine A branch of imaging that uses safe levels of radioactive material to diagnose or treat a wide variety of diseases and abnormalities. Minneola Healthcare offers a variety of nuclear medicine studies including heart studies, bone scans and gallbladder studies. Appointments are available, with a provider’s order thru the Minneola Healthcare Imaging Department. |

| Holter Monitors A Holter Monitor is a portable device that continuously records the rhythm of the heart, typically for 3-7 days, by means of a portable device that is attached to the chest. Holter Monitors are available at Minneola Healthcare with a provider’s order. |
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the body uses a powerful magnetic field, radio waves and a computer to produce detailed pictures of the inside of your body. Providers may use it to help diagnose or monitor treatment for a variety of conditions within the body, such as torn muscles and ligaments, spine problems, etc. This service is offered on Saturdays by appointment here at Minneola Healthcare. |
Mammography Mammography is the process of using low-energy X-rays to examine the human breast for diagnosis and screening. The goal of mammography is the early detection of breast cancer, typically through detection of characteristic masses or microcalcifications. Minneola Healthcare offers the latest 3D technology in mammograms once every other month by appointment. |
| Bone Density (DEXA) A DEXA scan is a specialized X-ray that helps to determine whether you’re losing bone density in key areas, such as the hips and spine. DEXA scans are a preventative tool that can help detect loss of strength and density of the bone and can help prevent fractures. Minneola Healthcare offers DEXA scans once every other month by appointment. |
