Julie is native to southwest Kansas, growing up in Cimarron. She attended Garden City Community College and Fort Hays State University for undergraduate education, graduating with honors. She began her career as a registered nurse, working in med/surg and pediatrics. In May 2016, Julie obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Fort Hays State University. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP. During her time as a Nurse Practitioner, Julie has spoken at the Kansas Academy of Family Physicians annual conference and is active in research development at The University of Kansas Cancer Center.
Julie sees patients across the lifespan and treats a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions.
She also offers preventative health services including well woman exams. Julie is married to Zach and together they have a son. She volunteers with Make-A- Wish Kansas, granting wishes to children with life-threatening conditions. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and reading.
